2002 LIMITED RESERVE NAPA VALLEY MERLOT

A dark brilliant opulent color of great depth introduces a concentrated bouquet of smoke, intense cherry & mint. Full bodied, mouth filling flavors of rich complexity extend to a smooth even finish edged with an almost sweet like after-taste. Masterful intensity and a long sustained lingering taste distinguish this exciting wine. The after-taste is richly sustained with lingering pleasure that dignifies this fine wine and sets it apart as an exceptionally fine Merlot. A real treasure with excellent aging potential. At only $165.60 / case this is incredible value at $13.80 / bottle.

2002 LIMITED RESERVE NAPA VALLEY ZINFANDEL

Very dark color of great clarity and depth, an intense and concentrated aroma that with airing displays a sweet cherry and sustained briary minty invitation. In the mouth, the wine is lush, vibrant and packed with intensity and concentration yet evenly balanced and smooth. Unlike other Zinfandels of intensity which are burdened with that hot, dusty nose and overblown high alcohol taste that compromise quality, this is a classic Zinfandel of beautiful power with grace. The long, smooth finish promises great maturity and is a wonderful accompaniment to dining whether alone or with royalty. Excellent drinking now - should develop and improve in bouquet and taste over 4 - 6 years. International Wine Cellar: 90-93 points

2001 LIMITED RESERVE NAPA VALLEY RUBY CABERNET

An amazingly fragrant peppery, smoky chocolate bouquet leads to a delicate Scotch whiskey-like aroma so typical of Cabernet. Well-balanced tastes of cedar and plum with accents of spicy anise and mint are followed by a long black cherry aftertaste. Drinking like a well-developed Bordeaux with still an edge of soft tannins that promises good longevity and increasing complexity in this exceptional rare wine, a truly unique American Treasure from Napa Valley's final 100% Ruby Cabernet harvest.

Note there is no 2002 Ruby Cabernet. The replanted Cabernets are growing well and the 2003 Cabernet wine is progressing well in barrel Since we felt the 2002 did not meet our standards, it was sold in bulk but fortunately. A small remaining quantity of 2001 Ruby Cabernet is available to our regulars.
